Embracing the Kingdom aligns me with destiny

Image
LIFE LESSON: The Kingdom of God is not simply heaven but rather a roadmap that harmoniously aligns my life on earth with the divine will. As I delved into the Bible, I noticed a recurring theme in Jesus Christ's teachings—the Kingdom of God. Initially, I associated the Kingdom of God with heaven, a place accessible only after death. As a result I struggled to reconcile this concept with my daily experiences. That was until I realized that Jesus was referring to a roadmap that serves to guide me to live on earth in alignment with God's will. Embracing the Kingdom of God as a roadmap transformed my understanding of my faith journey. It's not about fulfilling my desires or displaying my power but about showcasing God's power on earth (1 Corinthians 4:28). This posture enables me to partner with God, because it makes me acceptable to Him (Luke 22:18) so that through me, His power can be resurrected and manifested through supernatural activities (Luke 9:2). It all makes sens...

Presence in this lifetime should be the aim not heaven.

Image
LIFE LESSON: Instead of exclusively fixating on reaching heaven post-mortem, the primary objective of Christianity should be forging a deep and meaningful connection with God in the current life. During my elementary school years, an overly zealous teacher made persistent efforts to convert us to Christianity. She instilled fear in us by emphasizing the repercussions of eternal damnation in hell and distributed religious literature to reinforce their message. As a result, my initial motivation for embracing Christianity was primarily driven by a desire to secure a place in heaven and avoid eternal punishment. While this consideration is undoubtedly significant, it should not be the primary reason for embarking on a spiritual journey. The ultimate purpose of a Christian journey is to experience the personal presence of God during our earthly existence. Through the roadmap of the Kingdom of God, we can access this presence. As human beings, we are inherently flawed and unworthy of God...

True freedom is found in focusing on the vertical

Image
LIFE LESSON : Authentic life can only be achieved by acknowledging both the mundane and the transcendent aspects of life. Mike Lipkin, the "YES man," was the one who first exposed me to the realm of motivation. His influence led me to read numerous motivational books and follow many motivational speakers. Still, I must admit that despite all my efforts, the books and speakers had no impact on my life and it did not lead me to experience true life. I initially struggled to comprehend why this was so, as it appeared to work for others. Now I recognize the cause: the motivational world concentrates solely on the horizontal plane, disregarding the vertical plane, where genuine fulfillment unfolds (Luke 22:16). I came to realize that the motivational world only emphasizes physical well-being, neglecting the vertical plane's purpose to influence both the physical and spiritual realms, capturing my soul (1 Corinthians 15:50). The motivational world is anchored in what can be see...

A singular focus on the Kingdom serves as a springboard for profound insight.

LIFE LESSON; Comprehending the nature of God goes beyond mere knowledge of church rituals; it begins with genuine understanding of His kingdom During my upbringing in a denominational church, I observed and admired individuals who possessed a profound comprehension of the religious rituals. I admired them because I presumed that God favored churchgoers well-versed in these rituals. However, I have since realized that God seeks a deeper familiarity with His Kingdom rather than mere church rituals. As a believer it is crucial for me to understand the Kingdom of God, for it is within this realm that my true freedom lies (Luke 22:16). My soul is innately inclined to oppose God's will, it therefore requires healing to find acceptance in His sight. This healing can only be attained within the Kingdom of God (Luke 10:9) . The Kingdom of God, as mentioned in Corinthians 4:28 , serves as a means to manifest God's power on earth. By prioritizing knowledge of the Kingdom over church rit...

The irrelevant is key to the promise.

Image
Life lesson : What is deemed irrelevant has enabled me to comprehensively understand  the promised framework to live a meaningful life on earth. When I first embarked on a personal journey of reading the Bible on my own, I encountered challenges in understanding the Old Testament. I was almost tempted away from this journey by a popular belief that the Old Testament is no longer relevant, but I resisted the temptation despite my initial struggles with comprehension. This resistance enabled me to appreciate that the Old Testament forms a crucial part of God's promised framework for living on earth, which is fully revealed in the New Testament as the Kingdom of God  The Old Testament provides essential details about this revealed framework that is supposed to guide my life on earth as a child of God through religious rituals that point to God's promises and appropriate responses that positions me to inherit all that God has promised. These rituals offer insight into the activiti...

Kingdom elevation above church led me to truth

Image
I have always been under the impression that Christianity is about elevating church above all else. I assumed that this is an appropriate response to a commandment to put God first. I also assumed that questioning anything about the church tradition or culture is tantamount to being unfaithful to God, because the culture in the denominational church that I came from did not encourage critical questions on church protocols. As a matter of fact I remember an incident when I was younger a group of youths who were older than me were labeled rebels because they dared to challenge the church elders on how things were conducted in church. This posture of prioritizing church above all else grew my knowledge of my denominational church traditions and culture but it did not grow my knowledge of the true God. The Kingdom of God is a spiritual realm where true knowledge about God resides. The church was created as an institution where knowledge about the Kingdom of God is to be taught, but human be...

Heaven is in both the future and present

Image
As a child, I imagined heaven to be located in the sky because the Bible refers to it as "above". As I matured, I abandoned this belief, but I never questioned why the Bible referred to heaven in this manner. In my perspective both as a child and an adult, heaven seemed to be too far in the future, which was discouraging during difficult times when I needed it to be in the here and now. I only recently realized that heaven is referred to as "above" because it is located in the spiritual realm, which is a higher realm of existence than the natural realm in which I live. I also recently learned that, despite the fact that heaven is a future destination, God has graciously provided a means for humanity to experience heaven on earth. Heaven on earth is the Kingdom of God, which is the spiritual domain in which God's (of the Bible) power is manifested on earth. To access this realm, I must be born of both water and spirit. Being born of water is my  natural birth, wh...

I do not seek to be spiritual outside the Kingdom

Image
The phrase "I am spiritual, not religious" is often used to describe a worldview that does not regard organized religion as the sole or most valuable means of furthering spiritual growth. I adopted this phrase when I found that I could not reconcile my denominational church beliefs with my everyday life. I adopted this phrase out of frustration with religion and to disassociate myself with anything related to what I had been taught through religion, including the Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ. However, as I have continued on my journey in the Kingdom of God, I have come to learn that it is in fact the will of the Creator that I become spiritual and not religious. In the Bible, being spiritual means living life on earth according to the standards of the Creator. However, these standards are impossible for humans to attain on their own. The Ten Commandments were given to demonstrate that it is humanly impossible to live according to the Creator's standards, withou...

My limitations as a human being are real

Image
No human is limited is a belief that was the foundation of my life application because I believed any human being can go beyond their limits and no human being should be limited in their thoughts, in what he or she should be doing. I was convinced self-belief is crucial. But in truth and in reality as a human being walking on earth I have limits. It is not true that I am not limited and can do anything because this life on earth is influenced in the spiritual realm. Earthly life is influenced by the spiritual realm As a human being my life experience on earth is influenced in the spiritual realm either towards God(of the Bible) or away from him and by default I am influenced away from God (of the Bible). In his grace God has made it possible for me to opt in towards him through the Kingdom of God, a spiritual domain in which Jesus Christ reigns. The Kingdom of God is a spiritual realm domain that influences me towards God (of the Bible), it is a spiritual domain through which God inten...

LIFE LESSON: Priortise the Kingdom of God over Heaven

Image
I had been taught that the Christian journey is about focusing on going to heaven. But I then observed that in the bible Jesus speaks a lot more about the Kingdom of God than he speaks about heaven. It has also become clear to me that the Kingdom of God and Heaven are not the same thing. The Kingdom of God is a colony of Heaven on earth. This means access to the Kingdom of God is available here on earth whereas access to heaven is only available after time on earth. It is therefore my conviction that God’s will for his children is to prioritize the Kingdom of God over Heaven because of the following reasons  God's purpose on earth is fulfilled God’s purpose on earth is to influence the world through his children, but this can only happen when they are in alignment with his Son Jesus Christ. When God’s children prioritize his Kingdom they effectively activate the process of aligning themselves with Jesus Christ enabling God to fulfill his purpose of impacting the world through them....

LIFE LESSON: Heaven is here

Image
When I started on my journey of faith I observed that there was a a lot of talk and focus on eternity and the eternal life. This to me meant that  God's intention for me is to take my eyes off this life and focus on life in heaven. I really struggled with this because I had real problems and taking my eyes off this life and focusing on heaven was not providing me with solutions to deal with my real life problems. As I continue in my journey I am learning that in fact heaven is on the earth it is referred to as the Kingdom of God in the Bible, and it is nearer than I thought (Mark 1:15). This means contrary to my initial beliefs I don't have to take my eyes off this life and my real life problems to comply with the message of God.  Implications of the Kingdom of God to mankind  Since the beginning of time God’s plan has always been to rule the earth through mankind. He planned to put on display his nature through mankind but we failed the assignment when Adam disobeyed Go...
