Compomise is not true love

LIFE LESSON: True love does not compromise, it seeks to influence towards the truth


In matters of social issues, my stance has always been that compromising my values to accommodate diverse viewpoints is a testament of true love. Popular culture endorses this view, but it misaligns with the principles of the Kingdom of God.

Within the Kingdom of God, patience and kindness towards individuals holding opposing views on social issues are encouraged as expressions of love (1 Corinthians 13:4; Luke 6:35). However, demonstrating love also involves upholding the truth found in the Bible, rather than partaking in actions that undermine my moral standing before God (1 Corinthians 13:6).

Therefore, my approach in demonstrating true love to individuals with differing social views will be to consistently exhibit patience and kindness. However, I will refrain from compromising the truth by celebrating actions that contradict the biblical teachings. Instead, I will steadfastly stand on the truth of the Bible and strive to influence others to embrace the principles of the Kingdom of God.

I used the phrase “Every man for himself and God for us all” to justify prioritizing my own desires over everybody else. This seems right, after all society tells us we are the most important person in our lives and self preservation should take priority over others. LIFE LESSON: Religion enables false teachings

We have all heard or seen people being abused in the name of God. People have been made to drink petrol or eat snakes or in some instances they have been robbed of their hard earned money all in the name of God. Why would God allow this to happen is a question I have asked myself but never took it further and in fact I chose to put it off my mind. So when it was posed directly to me “ Why does God allow our people to be abused in his name” I realized that I can no longer put it off. I need to find answers to this question. TESTIMONY : Dont pray hard, pray consistently

Recently while searching for accommodation I went through 3 deals which all fell through at the last minute. After the 3rd deal fell through a friend asked me whether I have been praying and I said yes, and she advised me to pray harder. Pray hard is a phrase we commonly use, I have used this phrase or thought of it because of the belief that the harder I pray the more likely that God will fulfill my expectations. This belief is based on the assumption that God exists to fulfill my plans but in truth I exist to fulfill God’s plan on the earth. A plan that is meant to impact the lives of others and benefit me. No is also an answer  On the 4th attempt to find accommodation a deal was finally sealed.
