My desires are the foundation for misalignment

After being found guilty in the wake of a scandalous sports cheating controversy, a notable athlete attributed his actions to the influence of the devil. While many have dismissed this assertion as a disingenuous attempt to evade personal responsibility, it does raise a thought-provoking question regarding the true nature of one's adversaries.

In my walk in the Kingdom of God, I have come to the understanding that the most formidable threat to my divinely ordained purpose does not reside in some distant, ethereal realm, but rather within myself. It lies in the potent desires that reside deep within the chambers of my heart.

These desires persistently wage war against the guidance of the Holy Spirit, relentlessly battling against His divine direction. Fueled by spiritual blindness, they cause me to fixate my attention solely on the visible, temporal world, thereby hindering the growth of my faith and trust in Christ.

Such desires manifest as an insatiable craving for miraculous interventions and an unhealthy fascination with worldly wisdom and philosophies. Their allure captivates my heart, often rendering me blind to the unseen spiritual realm and leading me astray from my divine purpose.

Seeking refuge in the Lord is the most prudent course of action if I am to fulfill the purpose that God has ordained for my life. To ensure that my desires are in alignment with His divine will, I diligently pursue a deeper understanding of the Kingdom of God. Through this pursuit, I strive to transcend the allure of my human desires and embrace the sacred path that He has set before me.

LIFE LESSON: Religion enables false teachings

We have all heard or seen people being abused in the name of God. People have been made to drink petrol or eat snakes or in some instances they have been robbed of their hard earned money all in the name of God. Why would God allow this to happen is a question I have asked myself but never took it further and in fact I chose to put it off my mind. So when it was posed directly to me “ Why does God allow our people to be abused in his name” I realized that I can no longer put it off. I need to find answers to this question. TESTIMONY : Dont pray hard, pray consistently

Recently while searching for accommodation I went through 3 deals which all fell through at the last minute. After the 3rd deal fell through a friend asked me whether I have been praying and I said yes, and she advised me to pray harder. Pray hard is a phrase we commonly use, I have used this phrase or thought of it because of the belief that the harder I pray the more likely that God will fulfill my expectations. This belief is based on the assumption that God exists to fulfill my plans but in truth I exist to fulfill God’s plan on the earth. A plan that is meant to impact the lives of others and benefit me. No is also an answer  On the 4th attempt to find accommodation a deal was finally sealed.
