Life is temporary but eternal life is forever

In my journey of searching for truth one of the mindsets I embraced  about life (outside my Christian faith) was that I should not to hold too tight to anything in this life because life on earth is temporary. I believed this mindset would work well in situations where I experience unwanted loss.


It was easy to embrace this mindset when life was going well but when difficult life circumstances happened I had further questions about the source of these difficult circumstances but I could not find answers through this mindset. 


I then realized that the Bible says the same thing about this life being temporal but it goes further by encouraging me to embrace a permanent life that is available now in this lifetime.


Eternal Life 

Eternal life traditionally used as reference to a continued life after death, but according to the teachings of the Bible it is available now in this lifetime, there is no need to wait for death to experience it. Living a life that flows from the spiritual domain that is ruled by the Creator a.k.a the Kingdom of God allows its experience.It is activated by trusting and obeying Jesus Christ.


Embracing eternal life leads to a personal relationship with the Creator of the Universe and allows us to know the Creator’s purpose for our lives. It also gives answers to questions about the source of life's difficult circumstances.


Embracing eternal life in the natural realm is hard work that could leave one physically and mentally exhausted but it has the stamp of approval of the Creator of the Universe which means its rewards are guaranteed and they are realized both in the spiritual and natural realm, this is why I intend to see it through despite my difficult life circumstances.

I used the phrase “Every man for himself and God for us all” to justify prioritizing my own desires over everybody else. This seems right, after all society tells us we are the most important person in our lives and self preservation should take priority over others. LIFE LESSON: Religion enables false teachings

We have all heard or seen people being abused in the name of God. People have been made to drink petrol or eat snakes or in some instances they have been robbed of their hard earned money all in the name of God. Why would God allow this to happen is a question I have asked myself but never took it further and in fact I chose to put it off my mind. So when it was posed directly to me “ Why does God allow our people to be abused in his name” I realized that I can no longer put it off. I need to find answers to this question. TESTIMONY : Dont pray hard, pray consistently

Recently while searching for accommodation I went through 3 deals which all fell through at the last minute. After the 3rd deal fell through a friend asked me whether I have been praying and I said yes, and she advised me to pray harder. Pray hard is a phrase we commonly use, I have used this phrase or thought of it because of the belief that the harder I pray the more likely that God will fulfill my expectations. This belief is based on the assumption that God exists to fulfill my plans but in truth I exist to fulfill God’s plan on the earth. A plan that is meant to impact the lives of others and benefit me. No is also an answer  On the 4th attempt to find accommodation a deal was finally sealed.
