Obedience is key to true destiny

LIFE LESSON: Unyielding obedience stands as the cornerstone upon which the true vessel is built.


Throughout my formative years, I clung steadfastly to the belief that unwavering devotion to family was a testament to my love for God. However, as my spiritual journey unfolded and my understanding deepened, I came to realize that this notion deviated from the fundamental principles of the Kingdom of God. The true path to expressing my love for the biblical God, as revealed in the Gospel of John (14:15), lies in adhering to his commandments.

Obedience to God's commandments serves as a profound affirmation of my love for him. It is not merely a superficial display of piety but a reflection of genuine knowledge and understanding of his divine nature. In his words Jesus said , "If anyone loves me, he will keep my commandments" (John 14:21). This understanding serves as a bridge, positioning me as a vessel through which God's will can be realized on Earth. By remaining pure and dedicated to him, as described in Psalm 119:9, I cultivate a heart and mind that are receptive to his guidance and purpose.

The pursuit of purity and loyalty in my relationship with God prepares me to become his dwelling place, as stated in John 14:23. This profound union allows God's spirit to reside within me, transforming me into a vessel through which his purpose for humanity can be fulfilled.

 To demonstrate my love for God, I now seek to understand his will for my life. By aligning myself with his divine plan, I can become the person he created me to be. This entails discerning his purpose for my existence, embracing his unique calling for my life, and surrendering my will to his sovereignty.

In this transformative journey of faith, I have come to realize that my love for God is not confined to emotional devotion or family allegiances. It is expressed through obedience to his commandments, a genuine knowledge of his nature, and a heart fully surrendered to his will. By aligning my life with the principles of the Kingdom of God, I strive to be a vessel of his love, compassion, and purpose in the world.

Personal desire can be an obstacle to my destiny.

LIFE LESSON: Prayer is not a means to satisfy my personal desires; rather, it is to align with divine providence. In a recent discussion with a friend who attends a denominational church, he expressed that God fulfills all his prayers. Upon further exploration, it became apparent that he perceived God as a granter of his desires. This perspective contrasts with my experience in the Kingdom of God, where my prayers are also answered, but the responses are YES, NO or NOT NOW.. My prayers are not always met with a "YES." The Creator comprehends that my human desires alone, without his divine guidance, will never lead me to true fulfillment (Proverbs 27:20) . God prioritizes intimacy with me but some of my desires, unbeknownst to me, could hinder that intimate relationship (Luke 17:22) . TESTIMONY : Dont pray hard, pray consistently

Recently while searching for accommodation I went through 3 deals which all fell through at the last minute. After the 3rd deal fell through a friend asked me whether I have been praying and I said yes, and she advised me to pray harder. Pray hard is a phrase we commonly use, I have used this phrase or thought of it because of the belief that the harder I pray the more likely that God will fulfill my expectations. This belief is based on the assumption that God exists to fulfill my plans but in truth I exist to fulfill God’s plan on the earth. A plan that is meant to impact the lives of others and benefit me.
